Empowered Speaking

‘Prophesy to these bones and say to them, “Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”’ (Ezekiel 37:4-6)

God commanded Ezekiel to prophesy to his people Israel who felt lifeless: ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off’ (v11). We’ve received many words related to Ezekiel 37 over the past few months, and even more over the past few weeks. How is God leading us to use our Spirit-empowered voices to speak truth and life into dead places - in us and in others?

This Sunday we will continue our series in Acts and look at the way Peter’s Spirit-empowered words impacted the lame man, the crowd, and the Sadducees in Acts 3-4. There is power in the words he has given us to speak and we must not remain silent.

Listen to the recording from October 8th here.
